授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives |
スマートフォンを使って友達と連絡を取ったりソーシャルメディアにチェックを入れながら、パソコンでYouTubeを視聴するなど、私たちは幾重にも重なるメディア環境の中で生きており、またメディアを使った日頃の振る舞い方を当たり前のように思っている。しかしそのことが持つ意味合いを意識的、かつクリティカルにとらえることは必ずしも簡単ではない。この授業では、自分たちの複雑なメディア環境を丁寧に見つめ、私たちの日常のあらゆる経験にメディアがどんな役割を果たしているか、メディアがどのように社会、そして世界に影響を及ぼしているかを考え、このような「当たり前」を捉え直す視点を身につけることを目的とする。 テキストとしてNick Couldry, Media:Why It Matters (Polity Press, 2019)を読む。また内容に関連した資料(データ、エッセイ、新聞記事、動画など)も適宜みていく。テキストは海外の事例が多く扱われているが、関連して自分たちのメディア経験や日本の例なども考えていきたい。実践的な学びの機会として内容と関連するミニワークショップなどを行う。 |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course |
【授業の形式?テキストの入手等について】 ?対面形式の授業を行う。 ?授業に関する連絡や課題の提出などはmanaba経由で行うが、必要に応じてメールでのやりとりもする。 ?テキストは大学書籍部での購入を勧める。Amazonなどでも購入可能だが時間がかかる可能性がある。（Kindle版あり） ?サブテキストとして読む記事などは、随時manaba経由で配布する。 【授業の進め方】 ?受講者はレジュメを作成して報告する。テキストの内容をただ訳して紹介するだけでは不十分で、文中に出てくる具体例について調べたり、関連して掘り下げたことなども紹介しながら、テキストが意図するところの解釈に努めること。 ?テキストの内容や関連事項について、全体やグループでディスカッションし理解を深める活動も行う。 ?内容の理解の補足のために、関連するウェブサイトをはじめとする資料も見ることがある。 ?実践的な学びの機会として内容と関連するミニワークショップも行う予定である。 ?進め方の詳細は第1回の授業で説明するので、受講希望者は必ず出席してください。 |
