授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	本授業では、”How languages are learned” の講読を通して、母語（第一言語）習得、バイリンガリズム、第二言語（外国語）学習おける個人差要因、第二言語習得理論や効果的な学習方法などについて学びます。第二言語習得のプロセス、理論、学習方法を複眼的視点で捉え、これらに関わる諸問題についてディスカッションします、また、この授業は、外国語学部交流文化学科の学位授与方針（DP）が示す「言語スキルに基づき国際的?越境的（トランスナショナル）な視点から世界に対する概括的な教養を持つ」こと、教育課程の編成?実施方針（CP）が示す「高度な英語運用能力の養成」を念頭にしています。
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	本授業の英語講読では、個人による精読と、アクティブラーニングの手法を用いクラスメートと協働して読む方法を組み合わせます。初回授業で、グループを決め、グループごとに各章の担当者を決めます。担当者は資料を作成し、読み解いた内容について、グループのメンバーに講義をするつもりで発表を行います。発表の最後にはディスカッションポイントを提示し、それに基づき、グループでディスカッションをします。最後に、クラス全体で振り返りを行います。学期中にひとり5回、担当ページの発表を行います。発表資料は発表の前日までに提出してください。資料の作り方や提出方法については、授業で説明します。
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	予習：授業で読むページを事前に読んでくること。発表が当たっている人は、資料を作成すること。 復習：授業で学んだ内容について簡潔なリフレクション?レポートを書くこと。
