In this class, we will develop one of your most important English communication skills: speaking. This course will focus on the strategies and key expressions you need to use English in academic settings exploring a range of interesting and provocative topics. |

Classwork (and tests) will be based on the textbook and taught (and tested) online through manaba. In the autumn semester, you will study units 1-10. There is a code inside your textbook to hear the textbook audio files and watch the video files. |

Students are expected to do the work assigned to them each week. There is also vocabulary practice at https://quizlet.com/join/VqsqxdVNj to help you improve your English. You do not need to make an account to do the vocabulary practice or report when you did it. You should also use English as much as possible, such as listening to English songs and watching English |
