The purposes of the course are to show you how to: a) think in and communicate more effectively in modern English, using ""EQ"" (Emotional Intelligence); b) learn about and actively discuss World Issues, from an International point of view; c) enjoy dynamic, interesting conversations in smooth, Modern English; and d) try to understand International humor; and (hopefully) try to use such humor effectively; and e) (perhaps) research and 'give' (present) a class presentation. ※同一学期に同一教員の重複履修不可 |

Students will be shown examples of ways to ask & answer English questions. Then, students will be invited to produce their OWN spoken replies to similar questions/similar situations...and to explain a LOT, in modern, high-EQ English. English pairwork will be requested, so that classmates can get to know each other better. | ||||||||||

Your grade will be tentatively determined by: ongoing class assessments (approximately 35%); class participation (20%); and homework/test(s)/presentations (45%). |
