授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	This is an introductory academic writing course for first-year students. Students should be taught　how to write a unified, coherent paragraph, which is the basic unit of composition common to　most forms of academic, business, professional, and general-purpose writing in English.　Developing fluency and well-structured paragraphs is the main focus of this course. However,　students in Group C should also practice writing for accuracy at the same time. Overall Objectives 1. To provide an overview of what constitutes a ‘good’ paragraph 2. To learn how to properly format a typed paragraph 3. To help students write about themselves and their experiences 4. To help students write clear, coherent and properly-structured paragraphs 5. To help students analyze and revise their writing
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	6. To help students become familiar with computer literacy and the use of Microsoft Word or　Googledocs to create well-formatted documents. ?毎授業ごとに、学習範囲、重要事項、課題をポータルサイトに掲示しますので、期日までの提出をお願いいたします。 ?学生は、Chapter 終了ごとに学習事項を生かして、１パラグラフ構成の文章を提出する。 ?学生は、テキスト付随のオンラインリソースの練習問題に答える。 　（各自、テキストを購入後、テキスト記載のオンラインリソース用のID, Passwordを確認して、オンライン上に登録して下さい。登録手順と利用方法については第一週目の授業時に示します。）
