授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	The purposes of the course are to show you how to: a) think in and communicate more effectively in modern English, using ""EQ"" (Emotional Intelligence); b) learn about and actively discuss World Issues, from an International point of view; c) enjoy dynamic, interesting conversations in smooth, Modern English; d) try to understand International humor; and (hopefully) try to use such humor effectively; and e) use grammar-checking software to check/revise your own grammar issues. ※同一学期に同一教員の重複履修不可

評価方法 ／Evaluation	The instructor will use the ongoing assessment technique. You will be assessed every class, during ONLINE 'chat', on: how well you participate; how well you speak and elaborate (explain) in English; the ways in which you reason (think); how well you use the info taught to you; how well you interact with class members; etc. Your grade will tentatively be determined by: ongoing class assessments (approx. 35%); class participation (15%); and homework/test(s)(35%); & Attendance (15%).

4	Assigning Christmas(and/or another topic) research	Hallowe'en, part 2. +Assigning research about Christmas in another country (or other Presentation).	Silence/ Not answering will be regarded as a 0% score, during Online classes.
